An Upper Cervical Approach

Services

When the body is no longer adapting to its environment in an appropriate manner, the result is pain and decreased physical or mental performance. This failure of the body to adapt and maintain balance is due to an upper cervical vertebra fixed in a misaligned position, which causes a subluxation or interference to the the nervous system - the link between the brain and body.

To eliminate nervous system interference at the root level, a specific, three dimensional vectored adjustment must be performed on the atlas or axis vertebra to unlock them, restoring proper alignment to the spinal column and proper function to the brain-stem and spinal cord. With the pressure off the brain-stem area, the nervous system regains its ability to transmit electrical impulses to and from the brain and body without interruption. The final result is that the body’s Innate healing ability is able to express itself more freely, and the body is able to overcome many detrimental conditions under its own power – without the aid of mind and body altering substances or surgical intervention.

The tests are painless to the normal idividual!

Care begins with a focused consultation. This helps us to see if you are in the right place. Dr. Duff will proceed with a brief scanning exam. If the tests are positive a more detailed exam will likely follow. Tests include: Postural Assessment, Thermographic Imaging, Neurocalograph Recordings, Spinal Structural Palpation and Spinal Imaging.  It is common for the first visit at our office to take about one hour to complete.  The second visit is critical to establish your individual baseline 'Pattern'. When the Upper Cervical Spine is involved, patients will always shift into:

A] Neurophysiological Pattern [viewed by precise Thermographic Imaging]

B] Biomechanical/Postural Pattern [noted by Deviations from the Center of Gravity]

C] Inferior Musculo-Skeletal compensations [Spasms, loss of range of motion, etc.]

This second visit usually includes your 1st Specific 'tailor made'Corrective Adjustment and rest. The time is usually 1-2 hrs. Followup Care is designed to insure progress and is dependent on: Time, degree of injury, cooperation, work load factors, health habits and some genetic factors. We do not accept all patients but comparative tests and patient surveys reveal a 93% succe

The vertebral adjustment given is specific and designed to correct your problem not just mask the symptoms! Most patients hold their specific corrective Adjustment and need not to be adjusted but a few times over weeks or months!

When delivered properly , the adjustment should be the exception, not the rule. You will be given instruction on how to help hold the correction. Follow-up visits help to monitor your established 'Pattern'. You will only be adjusted if and when you return back into your 'out' pattern.

Why are we so specific with the details? Your health depends on it!
